For 27 years, Cinderella’s Closet YEG has helped Edmonton-area students celebrate one of life’s important milestone feeling confident, supported and ready to shine.
What began with a simple idea – that financial circumstances should never prevent a student from enjoying their graduation has grown into a long-standing community initiative supporting students and families across the Edmonton area.
Every student deserves their moment
Graduation represents years of hard work, growth and accomplishment. For some families, however, the cost of graduation attire can make an exciting milestone feel stressful or out of reach.
That’s where Cinderella’s Closet YEG comes in.
We provide graduation attire at no cost to students facing financial barriers. Students have the opportunity to find something that feels like them. The experience is about much more than an outfit – it’s about walking into their celebration feeling comfortable, confident and proud of everything they’ve accomplished.

The 2026/2027 school year marks our 27th year of operation.
For nearly three decades, Cinderella’s Closet YEG has been powered by community – volunteers who give their time, people who donate beautiful graduation attire and accessories, schools and community organizations that connect students with us, and supporters who believe every student deserves the opportunity to celebrate this milestone.
Together, that generosity has helped generations of Edmonton-area students celebrate graduation with confidence, while easing some of the financial pressure on their families.
More than an outfit
A dress may be what brings a student through our doors, but what we hope they leave with is something bigger: confidence, pride, excitement and the feeling that their community is cheering them on.
That has been at the heart of Cinderella’s Closet YEG for 27 years and continues to guide everything we do.
